Menthol has a topical analgesic effect that helps reduce coughing.
Therefore, this medication is used to relieve cough and congestion during a cold or allergy.
Do not take Emidramine:
If you are allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride/ammonium chloride/menthol or any of the ingredients in this medication.
Tell your doctor about your allergy and signs.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you have taken an MAO inhibitor within the past 2 weeks.
Do not give this medicine to children younger than 6 years old.
Warnings and precautions:
Stop taking the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure, or dizziness.
Talk to your doctor before starting this medication if you have any of the following health problems: Asthma or other chronic respiratory problems, glaucoma (increased eye pressure), benign prostatic hyperplasia, difficulty urinating or liver problems.
Taking alcohol with this medication may increase side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness, so be sure to avoid drinking alcohol with this medication.

If you are taking or have recently taken an MAO inhibitor within the past 2 weeks.

If you are taking tricyclic antidepressants (a type of medicine mainly used to treat depression).
If you are taking anxiolytics or tranquilizers (such as benzodiazepines).
