Epicogel 125 ml suspension:

Oral suspension: dried aluminum hydroxide gel 8.1 g in 100 ml/magnesium hydroxide 2 g in 100 ml/oxythazine 0.2 g in 100 ml.

Uses of Epicogel:

This product is used to quickly relieve heartburn and other symptoms associated with multiple digestive problems such as:

• Indigestion.
• And increased stomach acidity.
• And gastritis.
• Peptic ulcers (open sores that form in the upper digestive tract).
• Esophagitis.

Do not take Epicogel:

• If you are allergic to aluminum hydroxide powder gel, magnesium hydroxide, oxythazine, or any of the ingredients in this medication.
• Tell your doctor about your allergy and signs.
• If you are taking oral tetracycline antibiotics (used to treat some bacterial infections).
• If you have kidney problems.

How to take EpiGel:

• The recommended dose is 1 or 2 teaspoons (5 - 10 ml) orally 15 minutes before meals 4 times a day and at bedtime.
• Be sure to shake the suspension well before use.

Warnings and precautions:

• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms get worse or do not improve.
• Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you are dehydrated (severe fluid loss) or if you have kidney problems including kidney stones.
• Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you regularly drink alcohol.
• Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
• Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are on a diet to lower magnesium levels.
• It is recommended not to use this medicine for more than two weeks. Talk to your doctor if symptoms persist.
• Avoid drinking coffee, eating fatty or spicy foods, and smoking in order to help the medication reduce acidity and its associated symptoms.
• Stop taking the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure, or dizziness.

Possible side effects:

• Signs of an allergic reaction (such as rash, hives, itching).
• Vomiting and nausea.
• Diarrhea.
• Headache.
• holding.
• Muscle weakness.

Other medicines and EpiGel:

• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines including prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, herbs, vitamins, and supplements.
• If you are taking digoxin (used to treat some heart problems).
• If you take iron supplements.
• If you are taking pazopanib (used to treat some types of cancer).
• If you are taking fluoroquinolones or tetracyclines (types of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections).
• If you are taking citric acid or ascorbic acid.
