Uses of Histop 4 mg:
- Urticaria caused by allergies or chickenpox.
- Cold symptoms such as: sneezing and watery eyes.
Allergic rhinitis and runny nose.
- Conjunctivitis, which is characterized by itching and redness in the eyes.
- Allergic dermatitis.
How to take chlorpheniramine maleate :
- Chlorpheniramine maleate is intended for use only in adults, adolescents, and children 2 years of age and older.
- For adults and children over 12 years of age, take 4 mg every hours. Do not exceed 24 mg in 24 hours.
- For children aged 6-12 years, take 2 mg every 6 hours. Do not exceed 12 mg in 24 hours.
- For children younger than 2-6 years, take 1 mg every 6 hours. Do not exceed 6 mg in 24 hours.
Do not take chlorpheniramine maleate :
- If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you have angle-closure glaucoma.
- If you have symptoms of an enlarged prostate.
- If you have a urinary tract obstruction/are unable to urinate.
- If you have intestinal obstruction/unable to defecate.
- During an acute asthma attack.
- If you are taking or have recently taken monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressants.

- Seizures or epilepsy.
- Liver or kidney disease.
- Asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
- Thyroid dysfunction.
- Cardiovascular problems such as high blood pressure
- Urinary tract problems.
- Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this drug.

- Tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips or tongue, or you feel faint or have difficulty breathing.
