Fusex 40 mg - 30 tablets:
Reduces blood pressure and protects against complications of high blood pressure.
How furosemide works:
- Furosemide, works by inhibiting the Na-K-Cl cotransporter in the thick ascending limb of the convolution of Henle, causing more sodium, chloride, and potassium to remain in the urine.
- It thus increases diuresis, which in turn leads to decreased blood volume and ultimately lowered blood pressure.
Medical uses of Viosex:
- To treat patients with high blood pressure that may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
- To treat the accumulation of water in the body (swelling) caused by problems with the heart, kidneys, liver, or blood vessels.
Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medication including:
- If you suffer from liver or kidney problems.
- If you suffer from heart problems.
- If you suffer from diabetes.
- If you have low levels of protein in your blood.
- If you suffer from prostate problems.
- If you have gout.

Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
- Drought.
- Changes in electrolyte levels in the blood.
Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
- Increased sensitivity to light.
- Dizziness.
- Ringing in the ears and deafness.
Other side effects include:
- Liver problems.
- Muscle cramps.
- Skin rash.

- And stomach upset.
