Tranexamic acid 500 mg.
Mechanism of action of Capron:
- Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic agent that competitively prevents the breakdown of fibrin clots. It prevents the binding of plasminogen and plasmin to fibrin, thus preventing the dissolution of the blood clotting plug.
- Through the lysine binding site of fibrin and thus displaces plasminogen from the surface of fibrin, preventing the binding of plasmin to fibrinogen or fibrin monomers.
- It inhibits plasminogen activation, i.e. the formation of plasmin.
Uses of Capron 500 mg:
- In cases of bleeding associated with surgical procedures.
- For those with hereditary angioedema
- When there is uterine bleeding, postpartum bleeding, bleeding after a miscarriage or as a result of inserting a device during pregnancy.
- After tooth extraction or bleeding after any other dental procedures.
- When nosebleed occurs.
- When there is bleeding inside the digestive tract.
- In the event of removing an organ such as the tonsils or prostate.
- In cases of hemoptysis.
Contraindications for using Capron 500 mg:
Do not use Capron in the following cases:
- Acute renal failure.
- active intravascular coagulation
- Thromboembolic disease, where the body will constantly have blood clots in the veins.
- Color vision disorders.
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Capron if you have:
- Mild to moderate renal failure.
- Irregular menstrual bleeding.
- Previous medical history of venous blood clot.
- Blood in the urine.
- Disseminated intravascular coagulation. You will need to constantly monitor your condition while taking the medication.
- Kidney function and eye examinations should be monitored frequently if the medication is used for a long period.

Capron and other medications:
Tell your doctor if you are taking one of these drugs or substances:
- Estrogen.
- Coagulation factor IX.
- Anticoagulants.
- Tretinoin in acute myelogenous leukemia.
