Fenistil Oral Drops 20 ml:
- Dimetindene maleate is used to treat allergy symptoms as well as itching associated with skin reactions, hives, and insect bites.
Do not take dimetindene maleate. :
- If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- In children under 1 month.
- If you have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the past 14 days.
- Do not use the gel on open wounds.
How to take dimetindene maleate:
- Take this drug as directed by your doctor.
- Gently massage the gel onto the affected area 2-4 times daily.
- Adults: The usual recommended dose is 1-2 mg 3 times daily.
- In children, the usual dose is about 0.1 mg/kg body weight per day.
- Children from one month to one year: 3 - 10 drops 3 times a day.
- Children 1-3 years: 10 - 15 drops 3 times a day.
- Children 3 - 12 years: 15 - 20 drops 3 times a day.
Warnings and precautions:
Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including:
- If you suffer from angle-closure glaucoma.
- If you have difficulty urinating.
- If you suffer from epilepsy.
- If you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Possible side effects:
- Tired.
- Dizziness.
- Sleepiness.
- Excitement.
- Dry skin (gel).
- Local irritation (gel).

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, especially:
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
- Other antihistamines.
- Antidepressants.
- Medicines that make you sleepy.
