Otrivin 0.1% nasal drops for adults 10 ml:
Otrivin 0.1% nasal drops are used for different types of cold symptoms. It is designed in the nostrils where it creates a vasoconstrictor effect and thus decongests the mucous membranes of the nose and throat. This effect allows patients suffering from a cold to breathe more easily through the nose, and Otrivin begins to take effect. Within a few minutes and lasts for several hours.
Otrivin contains ingredients that help prevent dryness of the nasal mucosa thanks to its prolonged action.
How to use:
- For adults and children older than 6 years: 2 to 3 drops of Otrivin 0.1% in each nostril, used 4 times daily will be sufficient.
Warnings and precautions:
- If you have had head-related surgery, it is up to your doctor to decide whether or not you can use Otrivin.
- Otrivin should not be used in cases of dry nasal mucosa or angle-closure glaucoma, and it should not be used in patients who are allergic to any of the components of Otrivin.
- As is the case with other medicinal products for treating colds, Otrivin can cause problems with sleep and vision, or attacks of dizziness, which are signs of an allergy to this product.
- Otrivin should be used with caution in patients with high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism or diabetes.
- Otrivin should not be used for more than a week without medical advice.
