Iralis Permethrin 5% Cream belongs to topical antiparasitic agents.

Mode of action of permethrin:

• Permethrin works by paralyzing and killing the lice and their eggs that cause mange.
• It affects the nervous system of parasites, leading to their inactivation and subsequent death.

Medical uses:

• Scabies: This is a contagious skin infection characterized by intense itching and a raised, red rash. Caused by the scratch lice Sarcoptes scabiei.

How to use:

• For external use only.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to clean, dry skin from neck to soles of feet.
• Leave the cream on the skin for 8 to 14 hours, then rinse it with soap and water.
• Repeat treatment after 7 days if necessary.

Possible side effects:

• Common side effects may include mild burning, numbness, tingling, or mild itching.
• Seek medical help if you experience severe irritation, redness, swelling, or severe burning of the treated skin areas.
