Sodium Chloride Solution 0.9% 250ml

It is used in cases of fluid loss from the body as a result of low blood pressure or in cases of severe diarrhoea in an attempt to restore the balance between the ratio of fluids and salts.
It is also added to some medicines as a carrier of active substances in cases of mucus and sputum dissolving sessions or what is known as breathing sessions or as a solvent solution for intravenous injections.

Warnings and precautions:

• It should be used with extreme caution, however, in patients with congestive heart failure and acute renal insufficiency, and in clinical cases in which oedema with sodium retention is present
• Intravenous administration of sodium chloride can result in increased fluid and/or solute dilution leading to dilution of serum electrolyte concentrations, fluid overload, congestion or pulmonary oedema

Possible side effects:

• Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing.
• Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching of the face or body
