The device is used to aspirate phlegm from the respiratory tract and mucus, pus and pus from infections.
It is used in cases of coma, pulmonary diseases, acute internal infections, etc.
Used in adults and young people and works with low suction pressure.
It has a pressure indicator, a power button and a pressure controller inside the suction regulator.
Lightweight plastic construction.
1000 ml bottle with advanced flow protection.
The device has a set of tubes and bacterial filters.
The device is low noise.
The suction rate is 15 liters/min or higher.
Method of use:
Prepare the device: First check that you have all the necessary parts, including the collection vessel, tubing, and suction catheter. Next, place the device on a flat, dry surface and make sure the reservoir is empty, clean and ready to receive sputum.
Install the tube: Connect the main tube to both the suction machine and the collection bottle, and then attach the suction catheter.
Turn on the machine and adjust the suction force: Turn on the machine and adjust the suction force according to medical standards and recommendations, which usually range from medium to low to avoid airway inflammation. Before trying the suction on the patient, test the suction with your finger by blocking the catheter opening for a few seconds to check that the machine is ready to work.
Preparing the patient: Once you have prepared the device, turn your attention to the patient, making sure they are seated or semi-reclined and comfortable enough to begin suctioning.
Aspiration procedure: Insert the suction catheter into the patient's oral cavity carefully. Aspirate phlegm for no more than 15 seconds at a time, allowing the patient to breathe for a few seconds, then repeat, and so on. Move the catheter into the patient's oral cavity lightly, slowly, and in a circular fashion to ensure that harmful secretions are extracted. If the patient is unable to push the phlegm out, the catheter should be delivered to the throat, in which case the assistance of a specialist is required.
Decommissioning and cleaning the device: The final stage is to disconnect and clean the device. Carefully disconnect the tubing and wash it with a disinfectant saline solution, safely dispose of the phlegm in the glass container, and clean it thoroughly with the same saline solution.
Warnings and precautions:
It is safest to use a sputum aspirator under the supervision of a doctor or health care professional, or after training in proper use.
Clean the device and sterilize the tubing and accessories after each use to avoid infection.
Prolonged suctioning can lead to a decrease in oxygen in the blood. Therefore, the patient should be allowed to breathe, and each suction should not exceed 15 seconds.
Carefully adjust the suction force so that the suction is not too strong and damages the lining of the airways. At the same time, the suction should not be too weak and ineffective in withdrawing phlegm.
Intensive and frequent use may cause irritation and other damage, so the device should be discontinued if it is not necessary.
