Alor 10 mg 30 capsules:
Amlodipine contains the active ingredient amlodipine, which belongs to a group of medicines called calcium blockers.
Amlodipine is used:
- To treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or a special type of chest pain called angina, including a rare form called Prinzmetal or variant angina.
- In patients with high blood pressure, the drug works by widening blood vessels, so blood passes more easily through them.
- In patients with angina, amlodipine works by improving blood flow to the heart muscle, which therefore receives more oxygen to prevent chest pain.
