Uses of Amydramine syrup for children 120 ml

• Diphenhydramine hydrochloride/menthol is a medication used to relieve cough and is also a decongestant.
• Diphenhydramine hydrochloride works by blocking histamine 1 receptor sites, thus temporarily causing pain relief and reduced cough.
• Ammonium chloride also acts as a decongestant and helps reduce the stickiness of mucus.
• Menthol has a topical analgesic effect that helps reduce coughing.
• Therefore, this medication is used to relieve cough and congestion during a cold or allergy.

How to use Amydramine syrup for children 120 ml

• Children from 1-6 years: 2.5 ml 4 times daily.
• Children over 6 years: 5 ml 4 times daily.

Do not take diphenhydramine hydrochloride/menthol :

• If you are allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride/menthol or any of the ingredients of this medication.
• Tell your doctor about your allergy and signs.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you have taken an MAO inhibitor within the past 2 weeks.
• Do not give this medicine to children younger than 6 years old.

Warnings and precautions :

• Stop taking the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure, or dizziness.
• Talk to your doctor before starting this medication if you have any of the following health problems: Asthma or other chronic respiratory problems, glaucoma (increased eye pressure), benign prostatic hyperplasia, difficulty urinating or liver problems.
• Taking alcohol with this medication may increase side effects such as drowsiness and dizziness, so be sure to avoid drinking alcohol with this medication.

• If you are taking anxiolytics or tranquilizers (such as benzodiazepines).
