How Selecta- Bisoprolol works:
- Bisoprolol fumarate belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers.
- Beta blockers protect the heart from overactivity.
- This medicine works by influencing the body's response to certain nerve impulses, especially in the heart.
- As a result, bisoprolol fumarate slows the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
Uses of Selecta 2.5 mg:
- Controlling high blood pressure: A common condition in which the long-term force of blood against the walls of the arteries is high enough that it may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
- Cases of heart failure: The heart fails to pump blood to all parts of the body as required
- Prevention of angina: chest pain caused by blockage of the arteries that supply the heart muscle
Do not use bisoprolol:
- If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions:
- You suffer from severe asthma or chronic lung disease.
- You have a severe problem with blood circulation in your extremities (such as Raynaud's syndrome), which may cause your fingers and toes to cramp up or turn pale or blue.
- You have an untreated malignant sarcoma, a rare adrenal gland tumor.
- You have metabolic acidosis, a condition when there is too much acid in the blood.
- Severe heart failure or heart failure that suddenly becomes worse and/or which may require hospitalization.
- Slow heart rate.
- Severe low blood pressure.
- A certain heart condition that causes a very slow or irregular heart rate.
- Cardiogenic shock, an acute, serious heart condition that causes low blood pressure and circulatory failure.

- Treatment with bisoprolol fumarate tablet should be started at a low dose and then gradually increased.
