Scientific name: Fluconazole 150 mg capsule.

Uses:

• Fluconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat infections caused by fungi.
• Infections caused by Candida yeast.
• It is most commonly used for vaginal yeast infections.
• It is also used for fungal infections of the mouth, throat, urinary tract, genitals, skin, nails, and internal infections.

How to use:

• This medication is intended for adults, and your doctor may prescribe it for a child if necessary.
• Take the medication as directed by your doctor.
• Take the medication with or without food and with a full glass of water.
• For genital infections, the recommended dose is 150 mg as a single dose.
• For mouth and throat infections, the recommended dose is 200 mg on the first day, followed by 100 mg once daily.
• For meningitis (swelling of the brain due to infection), the recommended dose is 400 mg on the first day and then 200 mg to 400 mg once daily.
• For internal fungal infections, recommended doses are 800 mg on day 1 and then 400 mg once daily.
• For fungal infections of the skin and nails, depending on the site of infection, recommended doses are 50 mg once daily, 150 mg once weekly, or 300 to 400 mg once weekly.
• Doses may change in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's instructions.
