ACC Long Effervescent 600 mg 10 Tablets:
Acetylcysteine is used in the treatment of bronchial diseases such as bronchitis (inflammation of the mucous membrane of the bronchi), emphysema, mucosa (cystic fibrosis) and bronchiectasis (chronic widening of the airway passage).
Do not use Acetylcysteine 600 mg Effervescent Tablets:
- If you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
- Children under the age of 2 should not use this medication.
Warnings and precautions:
- If you suffer from bronchial asthma, you should not take this medicine.
- If you have or have ever had a peptic ulcer, Acetylcysteine Effervescent Tablets 600mg may cause irritation of the stomach wall.
Possible side effects:
- If any of the following side effects occur, immediately stop using Acetylcysteine 600mg Effervescent Tablets and contact your doctor or go to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.
- Shock (severe drop in blood pressure, paleness, restlessness, weak pulse, clammy skin, decreased consciousness) due to sudden dilatation of blood vessels as a result of severe hypersensitivity to certain components (anaphylactic shock).
- Sudden fluid accumulation in the skin and mucous membranes (such as the throat or tongue), breathing difficulties and/or itching and rash, often as a result of an allergic reaction (angioedema).
Other medicines and acetylcysteine 600 mg effervescent tablets:
- If you are using other medicines, do not dissolve them with Acetylcysteine 600mg Effervescent Tablets.
- If you need to use medicines to control or prevent infection (antibiotics), we advise you to take them 2 hours before or after taking acetylcysteine 600mg effervescent tablets.
- Cough suppressants should not be used at the same time as acetylcysteine 600mg effervescent tablets, as you must be able to cough up loosened phlegm.
How to use Acetylcysteine 600 mg Effervescent Tablets:
- 1 effervescent tablet once daily.
- Dissolve the effervescent tablet in half a cup of water. Drink the solution immediately.
