What is Clomipramine used for?:
- Clomipramine is used to treat depression (especially if you also need sedation), obsessions and phobias (irrational fears). It is also used with other medications to treat cataplexy.
Do not use clomipramine if you::
- Are allergic to clomipramine or any of the other ingredients of this drug
- You have ever had a rash or other allergic reaction to any other antidepressant

- You have a mental health condition called mania

How to use Clomipramine:
The recommended dose is:
- For depression, a starting dose of 10 mg which can be increased to find the dose that suits you.
- This is usually 30-150 mg per day or a maximum of 250 mg per day for severe cases.
- In cases of obsessions and phobias, an initial dose of 25 mg can be increased to 100 - 150 mg daily.
- In case of cataplexy, a starting dose of 10 mg which may be increased to a maximum of 75 mg daily.
Warnings and precautions:
