Product Description:

Esopole Capsule is used for the short-term treatment and maintenance of food pipe inflammation. This medication works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. This medication helps relieve the symptoms of hyperacidity. Esopole is also used for the short-term treatment of reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus, to reduce the incidence of stomach ulcers associated with frequent use of NSAIDs in patients, and for the long-term treatment of excessive acid production in the stomach, to reduce the risk of rebleeding in patients with stomach ulcers or The intestine and those undergoing endoscopy, and to treat patients with bacterial infection with Helicobacter pylori and intestinal ulcers.
Esopole Capsule may also be used with other medications to treat certain conditions as recommended by your doctor. It is used with amoxicillin or clarithromycin to treat patients with H. pylori bacterial infections and peptic ulcers.

Proton pump inhibitors:

Esopole  is a prescription medication that belongs to a class of medications called proton pump inhibitors. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are a group of medicines that significantly reduce stomach acid production. Excess acid production causes diseases related to the stomach and intestines. Proton pump inhibitors are used to treat such disorders.

Instructions for use:

Esopole Capsule is used with food. Patients are advised to mix the granules with food, and the granules should only be mixed with apple juice. This medication should be taken at least one hour before eating. Do not crush or chew the capsules.

Typical dose:

The typical dose of Esom is 20 mg or 40 mg once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. The maximum adult dose of Esopole  is 40 mg per day. This medication is usually used for 4 to 8 weeks for food pipe inflammation, 6 months for stomach ulcers related to frequent use of NSAIDs in patients, 4 weeks for reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus, and 10 days for H. pylori bacterial infections and peptic ulcers. Esopole is commonly used at the same time each day. This medication takes one hour to take effect.

Special instructions:

Patients are advised to mix the granules with food, and the granules should only be mixed with apple juice. If all of the applesauce or granules mixture has not been used, the remaining mixture should not be used. Do not swallow the granules if they dissolve or dissolve.

Warnings and precautions:

Conflict with examinations:

• Blood levels of chromogranin A may increase drug-induced reduction in stomach acidity. Elevated blood levels of chromogranin A may lead to false positive results in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors. Treatment with Esopole should be temporarily discontinued before blood chromogranin levels are assessed and repeat testing considered if initial blood chromogranin levels are high. The same laboratory should be used to test (monitor) chromogrin A levels in the blood.

Use of Esopole with strontium and rifampin:

• Drugs that induce CYP3A4 or CYP2C19 (such as St. John's wort or rifampin) can reduce Esopole levels  constitutively. Avoid co-administration of Strontium Esopole with rifampin or St. John's wort.
  

Low levels of magnesium

• Patients who use proton pump inhibitors including Esopole for at least three months and after a year of treatment are at increased risk of low magnesium levels characterized by adverse events such as involuntary muscle contraction (tetany), irregular heartbeat, and seizures. Appropriate monitoring of magnesium levels is required before starting treatment with proton pump inhibitors.
  

Increased risk of bone fractures:

• Patients using high doses, defined as multiple daily doses, and long-term treatment with proton pump inhibitors are at increased risk. Studies suggest that proton pump inhibitors (PPI) including Esopole therapy may be associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, spine, or wrist. These patients should use the lowest dose and shortest duration of PPI therapy appropriate for the appropriate condition.
  

Interaction with clopidogrel:

• The metabolism of clopidogrel can be worsened by combined use with drugs, such as Esopole, which inhibit CYP2C19 activity. Combined use of clopidogrel with Esopole 40 mg reduces the pharmacological effect of clopidogrel. Avoid co-administration of Esome strontium with clopidogrel, a prodrug. The blockage of platelet aggregation by clopidogrel is entirely due to the active metabolite. When using Strontium Esopole, consider another alternative antiplatelet therapy.
  

Colitis:

• Hospitalized patients being treated with proton pump inhibitors are at increased risk when using this medication. Studies suggest that treatment with proton pump inhibitors such as Isome-strontium is associated with an increased risk of diarrhea associated with Clostridium difficile infection. The correct diagnosis should be taken into consideration in patients presenting with aggravated diarrheal condition associated with colitis (Clostridium difficile infection).
  

Vitamin B12 deficiency:

• Regular treatment with any acid-suppressing medications over a long period (longer than three years) may lead to vitamin B12 deficiency caused by a lack of hydrochloric acid from gastric juice (achlorhydria). A diagnostic approach should be taken if any clinical symptoms consistent with vitamin B12 deficiency are observed.
  

Swelling between kidney tubules:

• Patients using proton pump inhibitors including Esopole  are at increased risk. Swelling between the renal tubules may occur during treatment with proton pump inhibitors and is generally associated with a severe allergic reaction without any known cause. Discontinue use of Esopole  if acute interstitial nephritis develops.

Inflammation of the gastric mucosa:

• Patients undergoing long-term treatment with omeprazole are at increased risk. These patients may have an increased risk of developing inflammation of the stomach mucosa (atrophic gastritis).
  

Gastric cancer (synchronous gastric tumor):

• Symptomatic response to treatment with Esopole  strontium does not prevent stomach cancer.

Combined use of Isom strontium with methotrexate:

• Combined use of proton pump inhibitors with methotrexate (mainly in high doses) may raise blood levels of methotrexate or its metabolite, potentially resulting in adverse effects of methotrexate. In case of high-dose methotrexate, short-term withdrawal of proton pump inhibitors including Esopole  should be considered in such patients.
  

Non-scary skin lesions:

• The use of proton pump inhibitors including Esopole may increase the risk of skin lesions in areas exposed to the sun. The patient should seek medical help immediately, and stop using Esopole after consulting with a healthcare professional.

Stomach and intestinal infections:

• Treatment with proton pump inhibitors including Esopole may increase the risk of stomach and intestinal infections such as those caused by Campylobacter and Salmonella bacteria.
