Hidrasec 10 mg 16 sachets:
Hydrasec is used to treat symptoms of acute diarrhea in children over three months old. It should be used in combination with high fluid intake and the usual nutritional measures, when these measures are not sufficiently effective on their own to control diarrhea, and when diarrhea cannot be treated causally.
Instructions for use:
- Always give Hydrasec to your child exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Hydrasec is supplied in granular form.
- The granules should be added to food or mixed with water in a bottle or baby bottle. Mix well and give it immediately to your child.
- The recommended daily dose is based on your child's weight: 1.5 mg/kg per dose (equivalent to 1 to 2 sachets), three times daily at regular intervals.
- For infants up to 9 kg: 1 sachet per dose.
- Infants weighing 9-13 kg: 2 sachets per dose.
- Your doctor will tell you how long treatment with Hydrasec will last. You should continue until your child has two normal stools, no later than 7 days.
- To compensate for fluid loss due to your child's diarrhea, this medicinal product should be used with appropriate replacement of fluids and salts (electrolytes). Replacement of fluids and salts is best achieved using so-called oral rehydration solutions (please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure).
Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before giving Hydrasec to your child if:
- Your baby was less than three months old.
