Hyoscine butylbromide is used to treat stomach, intestinal, and bladder spasms. It can be used to stop convulsions before x-rays.

Do not take hyoscine butylbromide:

• If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you suffer from glaucoma (blue water).
• If you suffer from myasthenia gravis.
• If you have or suspect you have a bowel obstruction.
• If you have a condition where your intestines are blocked or not working properly (ileus).
• If you suffer from megacolon.
• If you have an enlarged prostate gland (for men).

Warnings and precautions:

Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including:

• If you suffer from heart problems such as rapid heartbeat.
• If you suffer from hyperthyroidism.
• If you have difficulty urinating.
• If you have constipation.
• If you have a fever.
• If you suffer from liver or kidney problems.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; Itch; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; Unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.

Serious side effects:

• Eye problems: pain and loss of vision

Hyoscine butylbromide interacts with the following properties:

•  Tetracyclic antidepressants used to treat depression.
•  Medicines that control your heartbeat.
•  Medications for severe mental illness.
• Medicines used for breathing problems (such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
• Antihistamines used for allergies.
• Amantadine.
•  Mitoclobramide.

How to take hyoscine butylbromide:

• This medication is intended for adults and children 6 years of age and older.
• Take this drug as ordered by your doctor.
• The usual dose is 20 mg, 3-4 times a day.
• For children aged 6-12 years, the usual dose is 10 mg 3 times a day.
