Lamotrigine tablets 100 mg.
Uses of Lamictal 100 mg:
- Lamotrigine is usually used with other medications to treat seizures in patients 2 years of age and older, and for partial-onset seizures in patients 16 years of age and older.
- This medication is also used to treat bipolar affective disorder (a condition that causes mood swings) in patients 18 years of age and older.
Do not take lamotrigine:
- If you are allergic to lamotrigine, or any other ingredients this medication contains.
Warnings and precautions:
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you experience an allergic reaction such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck.
- This medicine may cause Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a rare and serious syndrome that affects the skin and usually begins with flu-like symptoms and then progresses to a severe, painful rash.
- Tell your doctor if you experience these symptoms.
- Tell your doctor right away if you experience symptoms such as high fever, or symptoms of swollen lymph nodes such as night sweats, painful lumps under the skin, and feeling tired.
- Tell your doctor if you experience heart symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue when moving, chest pain, swelling in the extremities, or a change in heartbeat.
- Tell your doctor if you experience symptoms of liver problems such as yellow skin, yellow eyes, white stools, dark urine, fatigue, or swelling in the abdomen.
- Tell your doctor if you experience unusual changes in mood or behavior, the appearance or worsening of depression, or suicidal thoughts.
- This medication may cause a decrease in the level of nucleophiles (responsible for fighting bacterial infections), a decrease in the level of platelets (responsible for healing wounds and stopping bleeding), in addition to other blood problems.
- Tell your doctor if you experience bleeding, delayed healing of your wound, bruising easily, fatigue or dizziness, high fever, or yellowing.

- Allergic reactions, itching and rash.
- Head pain, fatigue.
- Abdominal pain, nausea.
- Back pain and drowsiness.
Other medicines and lamotrigine:
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any medicines.
- If you take valproate (used to treat convulsions).
- If you take carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, or primidone (used to treat convulsions).
- If you take contraceptive medicines that contain estrogen.
- If you take rifampin (used to treat tuberculosis).
