Mebeverine 135 mg film coated tablets
Mebeverine helps relax the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract (gut). It is used in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and similar problems such as chronic irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation, mucous colitis, and spastic colitis.
Do not take mebeverine:
- If you are allergic to mebeverine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Caveats and precautions Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking mebeverine if:
- You develop new or worsening symptoms.
- You have liver or kidney problems.
Possible side effects of mebeverine:
- Allergic reactions, such as skin reactions, skin inflammation or redness, swelling, hives, itching, or rash, may occur.
How to take mebeverine:
- Try taking the tablet 20 minutes before a meal - some people find that their symptoms are stronger after eating.
- The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. The tablet should not be chewed.
- The usual dosage is one tablet three times a day. Do not take more than three tablets per day.
- Mebeverine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
