The heart seed plant gets its name from the dark brown seed pod with a white, heart-shaped mark. It contains valuable active ingredients such as saponins (triterpenglycosides), phytosterols, flavonoids and hyaluric acid, which can be considered natural cortisone (phytocortisone).
