Olsar Plus 40\25 mg - 28 tablets

Scientific name: Olmesartan 40 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg tablets.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure.

How to use:

• The tablets can be taken with or without food.
• Swallow the tablets with enough water.
• If possible, take your daily dose at the same time each day, eg at breakfast time.
• Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you to.
• The recommended dose is one olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg/12.5 mg tablet per day.
• If your blood pressure is not controlled, your doctor may decide to change your dose to one olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg/25 mg tablet per day.
• It is important to continue taking olmesartan/hydrochlorothiazide until your doctor tells you to stop.
• Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.

Side effects:

• Allergic reactions that may affect the entire body.
• Reduction of Blood pressure.
• Dizziness, headache, nausea, indigestion, diarrhea, stomach pain, gastroenteritis, fatigue, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose.
• Lack of energy, muscle cramps, poor kidney function, kidney failure.
• Lack of appetite or loss.
• Swollen and ulcerated salivary glands, bone marrow damage, insomnia, feeling depressed, sleep problems, numbness, cramps, blurred vision, dry eyes.
• Electrolyte disturbance that may lead to an abnormal level of chloride in the blood.

Warnings and precautions:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or might use any other medicines, in particular these medicines:

• Other medicines to lower blood pressure.
• Medicines that may change potassium levels in the blood.
• Lithium.
• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
• Sleeping tablets, tranquilizers and antidepressant medications.
• Some medications used to relax muscles.
• Some medications used to treat cancer.
• Medicines to lower blood fat levels.
• Colesevelam hydrochloride, a medicine that lowers blood cholesterol levels.
• Anticholinergic agents, such as atropine and piperidine.
• Medicines used to treat some psychological disorders.
• Some medications used to treat heart problems.
• Medicines that may change the heart rhythm.
• Oral antidiabetic medications, such as metformin or insulin, which are used to lower blood sugar.
• Medications such as noradrenaline, which are used to increase blood pressure and slow the heart rate.

Preservation method:

• Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Do not refrigerate the medicine in the refrigerator.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
