Senergy 5/160 mg 30 Tablets

Scientific name: Amlodipine 5 mg + Valsartan 160 mg.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure in adult patients when monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan alone is not sufficient.
• High blood pressure is a common condition in which the long-term force of blood pressure against the walls of your arteries is high enough that it can eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
• Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular diseases, especially stroke and myocardial infarction.

How to use:

• Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you.
• The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
• You should try to take your daily dose at around the same time every day.
• You should continue taking the medication until your doctor tells you otherwise.
• Do not break the tablet in half.
• You can take the tablets with or without food.
• When used as initial therapy: Start with 5/160 mg, then titrate upward as necessary to a maximum of 10/320 mg once daily.
• The majority of the effect is achieved within two weeks.
• Doses may change in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's instructions.

Warnings and precautions:

• Reduction of Blood pressure.
• Monitor renal function and potassium in susceptible patients.
• If simvastatin is co-administered with amlodipine, do not exceed doses of more than 20 mg per day of simvastatin.
• Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may increase the risk of renal impairment and loss of antihypertensive effect.
• Do not use the drug with Aliskiren in patients with diabetes.
• Coadministration with lithium: increases the level of lithium in the blood.

Preservation method:

• Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Do not refrigerate the medicine in the refrigerator.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
