Loratadine is used to temporarily relieve the symptoms of colds, allergies, and hay fever, which is an allergy to pollen, dust, and all allergens. Symptoms of an allergy include:

• Runny nose.
• Sneezing.
• Itching.
• Watery eyes.
• Itching in the nose and throat.
• Sinusitis.

Loratadine is contraindicated in the following cases:

• Hypersensitivity to any of its components or to desloratadine.
• Children younger than two years.

Warnings and precautions:

Loratadine is used with caution and under the supervision of a doctor in the following cases:

• Suffering from liver, heart, and kidney diseases.
• Suffering from high blood pressure.
• Phenylketonuria syndrome, a rare genetic condition.
• Advanced and elderly patients.
• Gasping syndrome or respiratory distress in newborns.
• It is not recommended to use Loratadine for breastfeeding women and women during pregnancy, except after medical advice.
• Loratadine should not be coadministered with: other antihistamines. Ethanol. Sedative medications. Carbamazepine. Cimetidine. Clazithromycin, erythromycin citrate.
