Uses of Histop 4 mg:

• Urticaria caused by allergies or chickenpox.
• Cold symptoms such as: sneezing and watery eyes.
  Allergic rhinitis and runny nose.
  
• Conjunctivitis, which is characterized by itching and redness in the eyes.
• Allergic dermatitis.

How to take chlorpheniramine maleate :

• Chlorpheniramine maleate is intended for use only in adults, adolescents, and children 2 years of age and older.
• For adults and children over 12 years of age, take 4 mg every hours. Do not exceed 24 mg in 24 hours.
• For children aged 6-12 years, take 2 mg every 6 hours. Do not exceed 12 mg in 24 hours.
• For children younger than 2-6 years, take 1 mg every 6 hours. Do not exceed 6 mg in 24 hours.

Do not take chlorpheniramine maleate :

• If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have angle-closure glaucoma.
• If you have symptoms of an enlarged prostate.
• If you have a urinary tract obstruction/are unable to urinate.
• If you have intestinal obstruction/unable to defecate.
• During an acute asthma attack.
• If you are taking or have recently taken monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressants.

Warnings and precautions :

Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including, if you have:

• Seizures or epilepsy.
• Liver or kidney disease.
• Asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
• Thyroid dysfunction.
• Cardiovascular problems such as high blood pressure
• Urinary tract problems.
• Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this drug.

Possible side effects :

Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience:

• Tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips or tongue, or you feel faint or have difficulty breathing.
• Hives or itching of the face or body.

• Feeling sleepy.

• Store at room temperature (20 to 25 degrees Celsius) in a dry place.
