Coxicam 7.5 mg 10 Tablet:

Coxicam 7.5 mg Tablets belong to the analgesics, antipyretics and anti-inflammatories.

Meloxicam tablets are used to:

• Short-term (acute) treatment of arthritis flare-ups.
• Long-term treatment for the following:
  
  • Rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Ankylosing spondylitis.

How to eat Meloxicam:

Acute arthritis:

• The usual dose is 7.5 mg daily. May be increased to 15 mg per day.

Rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis:

• The usual dose is 15 mg daily.
• Your doctor may reduce your dose to 7.5 mg per day.

Do not take meloxicam if:

• You are in the last three months of pregnancy.
• You are a child or teenager under 16 years of age.
• You are allergic to meloxicam or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
• You are allergic to aspirin or other steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
• You have ulcers or bleeding in your stomach or intestines.
• You have severe liver dysfunction.
• I recently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.
• You have severe heart failure.

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking meloxicam:

• Meloxicam may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
• If you have had heart problems or a previous stroke or think you are at risk of these conditions, you should discuss your treatment with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Discontinue treatment with meloxicam immediately as soon as gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration is noted.
• Stop taking meloxicam if you develop a rash or other skin symptoms.

Possible side effects:

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following that worry you:

• Skin reactions.
• Shortness of breath or asthma attack.
• Lever Inflammation.
• Jaundice.
• Abdominal pain and loss of appetite.
• Bleeding and ulceration in the digestive system.

Other medicines and meloxicam:

Tell your doctor if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines:

• Other steroidal anti-inflammatories.
• Medicines that prevent blood clotting (warfarin, heparin).
• Medicines that break up blood clots.
• Medicines to treat heart and kidney diseases.
• Corticosteroids.
• Cyclosporine.
• Any diuretic medication.
• Medications to treat high blood pressure.
• Lithium (used to treat mood disorders).
• Methotrexate (used to treat tumors).
• Cholestyramine (for cholesterol).
