Derma T Lotion 30 ml belongs to acne preparations.

How it works:

• The active ingredient: Clindamycin phosphate is an anti-infective substance used on the skin to treat acne in adults.

Uses:

• It is used on the skin to treat adult acne.

How to use:

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is twice a day.
• Wash the affected area and apply a thin layer of the solution or lotion.
• Topical lotion: Apply a thin layer of lotion to the affected area using a swab or soft cloth.
• Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Warnings and precautions:

• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Derma T topical lotion or solution if you have diarrhea or diarrhea usually when taking antibiotics.
• If you develop severe, prolonged, or bloody diarrhea during or after using Derma T, tell your doctor immediately because it may be necessary to interrupt treatment. This may be a sign of bowel inflammation (pseudomembranous colitis) which can occur after treatment with antibiotics.
• Be careful when using Derma T topical wash around your mouth because it contains an unpleasant-tasting substance.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Special side effects:

• Tell your doctor right away if you have severe, persistent or bloody diarrhea (which may be accompanied by stomach pain or fever).
• Derma T topical solution may make your skin dry (a very common side effect).
• More than 1 in 10 people may develop skin irritation (which may cause symptoms such as burning, itching and peeling) and hives.
