• Tilt your head back slightly and look up.
• Pull the lower eyelid down.
• With the other hand, hold the eye drop bottle upside down near your eye. Try not to touch your eyes while doing this.
• Use enough pressure to dislodge one drop into your eye.
• Make sure the medicine gets into your eye.
• Close your eyes for a minute or two, and gently press the side of your nose. This prevents loss of eye drops and helps keep the medicine in place.
