Peptazole 30 mg 14 capsules:

Scientific name: Lansoprazole 30 mg capsule.

Peptazole 30 mg capsule belongs to acidity and heartburn medications.

How Lansoprazole works:

  • The secretion of hydrochloric acid (HCl) into the gastric lumen is a process that is mainly regulated by the H(+)/K(+)-ATPase known as the proton pump, large amounts of which are present in the parietal cells of the stomach.
  • A proton pump inhibitor works by irreversibly blocking the hydrogen/potassium enzyme system, inhibiting stomach acid secretion.
  • Lansoprazole is a member of a class called "proton pump inhibitors."

Use of the medicine:

For adults:

  • Duodenal ulcer (an ulcer that forms at the beginning of the small intestine).
  • Eradication of H Pylori (bacteria that can live in your intestines and cause ulcers) to prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers.
  • Benign stomach ulcer (a non-cancerous ulcer that forms in your stomach).
  • NSAID-associated ulcers (ulcers that form in your intestines due to excessive use of NSAIDs).
  • Esophageal reflux (acid reflux also known as “heartburn”).
