Scientific name: Cabergoline 0.5 mg tablets.

Uses:

Cabergoline can be used in:

• Stop expressing breast milk for medical reasons only and when your doctor decides it is necessary.
• Cabergoline should not be used routinely to stop breast milk production.
• Treating fertility and menstrual cycle problems usually caused by prolactin irregularities, including polycystic ovary syndrome.
• Treating non-cancerous brain tumors called prolactin tumors.
• Parkinson's disease treatment.

How to use:

• It is recommended that cabergoline be taken with or after food to help reduce feelings of nausea or vomiting.

To prevent milk production (lactation):

• 1 mg (two 0.5 mg tablets) should be taken on the first day after birth.

To stop breastfeeding once breastfeeding has begun:

• 0.25 mg (half a 0.5 mg cabergoline tablet) should be taken every 12 hours for two days.

To reduce prolactin levels in other conditions:

• You should initially take one 0.5 mg tablet (taken in two doses) spread over a week (for example, half the tablet on Sunday and the other half of the tablet on Wednesday).
• Your dose will be increased until you reach a maximum of 4.5 mg per week or until you fully respond to treatment.
• The maximum dose should not exceed 3 mg per day.

side effects:

• Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing.
• Stop using the product if you experience facial or body itching.

Before using this medicine, talk to your doctor if you:

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
• If you suffer from kidney or liver problems.
• If you suffer from heart disease.
• If you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from a stomach ulcer.
• If you have a history of serious mental illness, especially psychotic disorders.
• If you have low blood pressure.

Preservation method:

• Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Do not refrigerate the medicine in the refrigerator.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
