Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% nasal spray for adults:

Xylometazoline nasal spray is used in the nose to relieve:

• Nasal congestion (nasal blockage including common cold)
• Persistent and allergic rhinitis (recurrent inflammation of the nasal mucous membranes, including hay fever)
• Sinusitis.
• Xylometazoline nasal spray contains the active substance xylometazoline hydrochloride which helps to open and clear the nasal passages by reducing excess nasal secretions and returning swollen blood vessels to their normal size.

Side effects:

The following side effects have been reported:

• Burning sensation in the nose and throat
• Local irritation
• Nausea
• Headache
• Dryness of the nasal mucous membranes
• Temporary and transient visual disturbances
• Allergic reactions.
• Cardiovascular effects, for example, palpitations may also occur especially if you have heart problems.
