Keflex is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by killing bacteria in the body.
Uses:
It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria:
- Upper respiratory infections.
- Ear infections.
- Skin infections.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Bone infections.
side effects:
- Diarrhea and colitis.
- Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.
- Increased prothrombin time.
- Allergic reaction.
- cramps.
- Interstitial nephritis.
Warnings and precautions:
- It is not recommended to use probenecid at the same time as Keflex.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of or suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis.
- It may prolong the prothrombin time, especially in patients with liver or kidney failure, and poor nutritional status.
- Convulsions may occur, especially in patients with renal insufficiency.
Preservation method:
- Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
- Do not refrigerate the medicine in the refrigerator.
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
