Ld-Nor 20 mg 30 Tablets:

It reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood and protects against the complications of high cholesterol level.

How to make D-Nor 20 mg:

•  It is a cholesterol-lowering drug that belongs to the cholesterol-lowering "statin" class. Statins lower blood cholesterol levels by blocking 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMG-CoA), an enzyme necessary for cholesterol production in the liver.
• Low cholesterol concentration in the liver stimulates an increase in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors, which increases the liver's uptake of LDL and reduces the level of LDL in the blood.

Uses of D-Nor 20 mg:

• It is used to lower fats known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when a low-fat diet and lifestyle changes fail to achieve the desired results.
• If you are at increased risk of heart disease, it may also be used to reduce this risk even if your cholesterol levels are normal.

How to use D-Nor 20 mg tablets:

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• The dose may be increased if necessary by your doctor to reach the desired goal.
• Atorvastatin tablets should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food.
• Atorvastatin tablets can be taken at any time of the day, but the most common instruction is to take statins at night, as cholesterol production is thought to be higher at night.
• Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Warnings and precautions:

Do not take atorvastatin:

• If you are allergic to atorvastatin or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
• If you have or have ever had a disease that affects the liver.
• If you have any abnormal blood tests for liver function.
• If you are a woman who is capable of having children and is not using contraception.
• If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
• If you are breastfeeding.
• If you are using the combination of glecaprevir/pibrentasvir to treat hepatitis C.

Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking atorvastatin:

• If you suffer from severe respiratory failure.
• If you are taking or have taken in the past seven days a medicine called fusidic acid (medicine for bacterial infections) by mouth or by injection. The combination of fusidic acid and atorvastatin can cause serious muscle problems.
• If you have had a previous stroke with bleeding in the brain, or have small pockets of fluid in the brain from previous strokes.
• If you have kidney problems.
• If you suffer from an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism).
• If you experience recurring or unexplained muscle aches or pains.
• If you have a personal or family history of muscle problems.
• If you have previously had muscle problems during treatment with other lipid-lowering medicines (for example, other statins or fibrates).
• If you have a history of liver disease
• If you are over 70 years old.

Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may report:

• Inflammation of the nasal passages, sore throat, nosebleeds.
• Allergic reactions.
• Increases in blood sugar levels.
• Headache.
• Nausea, constipation, flatulence, indigestion, diarrhea.
• Joint pain, muscle pain and back pain.
• Blood test results that show liver function may become abnormal Skin rash, itching, and hives. Bees and hair loss.
• Neck pain and muscle fatigue.
• Fatigue, feeling unwell, weakness, chest pain, swelling especially in the ankles (edema), high temperature.
• Muscle weakness, tenderness, pain and tearing.
