- This medication is used to treat vaginal yeast infections.
- Miconazole reduces vaginal burning, itching, and discharge that may occur with this condition.
- This medication is an azole antifungal.
- It works by stopping the growth of the fungi causing the infection.
- Do not use miconazole nitrate.
- If you are allergic to the active ingredient or any other ingredient of this medicine, or to any other antifungal medicine.
Warnings and precautions:
If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine:
- diabetic.
- Recurrent vaginal yeast infections (more than 3 in 6 months or 4 in 1 year).
- Do not use tampons, douches, spermicides, or other vaginal products while using this medication.
- Unscented sanitary pads can be used during menstruation or to protect your clothes from medication leakage.
- Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve after 3 days or persists more than 7 days.
- Tell your doctor if the infection returns within 2 months.
- You may need a different or additional medication to treat your condition.

- This product is for vaginal use only.
- Wash hands before and after use.
- Avoid contact of this product with your eyes.
- If it gets into your eyes, wash them immediately with plenty of water.
- The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
- Use the medication usually once daily at bedtime for 1 to 7 nights as directed by your doctor.
- If using a vaginal suppository, you may use your finger to insert the suppository.
- Unscrew the suppositories before use.
- Follow the package instructions on how to fill the solution with the vaginal suppositories.
- Lie on your back with your knees toward your chest.
- Insert the tablet into the vagina as far as it can fit comfortably.
