Megamox 312 mg suspension 100 ml:

Megamox 312.5 mg syrup belongs to antibacterial medicines.

How amoxicillin and clavulanic acid work:

• Penicillin kills bacteria by binding its beta-lactam ring to transpeptidase, the bacterial cell wall-forming enzyme, preventing cell wall formation. Without a cell wall, the bacterial cell is vulnerable to external water and molecular pressures, leading to bacterial death.
• Amoxicillin is similar to penicillin in its bacterial killing effect.
• Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of medications called beta-lactamase inhibitors, which is an enzyme produced by bacteria to destroy some antibiotics. Thus, it works to prevent bacteria from destroying amoxicillin.

Uses of Megamox 312.5 mg syrup:

• Middle ear and sinus infections.
• Respiratory infections.
• Urinary tract infections.
• Skin infections and dental infections.
• Bone and joint infections.

Instructions for use:

• Follow your doctor's instructions about how and when to take (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid).

• You can give/take amoxicillin before or after food. Space doses as evenly as possible throughout the day
