Scientific name: Cefpodoxime 100 mg/5 ml oral suspension.
Uses:
- This medication is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
- It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of infections such as: pneumonia, sinusitis, cystitis, gonococcal infection, etc. caused by bacteria.
How to use:
- Take this medication by mouth, usually every 12 hours or as directed by your doctor.
- Take it with food to help increase the absorption of the medication.
Warnings and precautions:
- This medication may cause live bacterial vaccines (such as typhoid vaccine) to not work as well.
- Tell your health care professional that you are using this medication before taking any immunizations/vaccinations.
- Older adults may be more at risk for side effects while using this medication.
- During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed.
Before taking cefpodoxime, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you:
