Uses:

• It is used to lower the level of uric acid in the blood in patients with gout.
• It is used as a chronic treatment for gout.
• It is also used to treat and prevent high levels of uric acid in the blood in patients with leukemia who are undergoing chemotherapy.

How to use:

• This medicine is intended for adults over 18 years of age only.
• The usual recommended dose is 40 mg once daily.
• Your doctor may increase it to 80 mg once daily if you do not achieve your desired goal.
• The dose may be increased to 120 mg once daily.

side effects:

Side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may complain of:

• Elevated liver enzymes.
• nausea.
• Skin sensitivity and redness.
• Joint pain.
