Scientific name: Febuxostat 40 mg tablets.
Uses:
- It is used to lower the level of uric acid in the blood in patients with gout.
- It is used as a chronic treatment for gout.
- It is also used to treat and prevent high levels of uric acid in the blood in patients with leukemia who are undergoing chemotherapy.
How to use:
- This medicine is intended for adults over 18 years of age only.
- The usual recommended dose is 40 mg once daily.
- Your doctor may increase it to 80 mg once daily if you do not achieve your desired goal.
- The dose may be increased to 120 mg once daily.
side effects:
Side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may complain of:
- Elevated liver enzymes.
- nausea.
- Skin sensitivity and redness.
- Joint pain.
