Atacand 8 mg 28 tablets:
Scientific name: Candesartan 8 mg tablets.
Uses:
- Treatment of high blood pressure in adult patients.
- Treatment of adult heart failure patients who suffer from insufficient heart muscle function.
How to use:
- Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you.
- The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
- You should try to take your daily dose at around the same time every day.
- You should continue taking the medication until your doctor tells you otherwise.
- Do not break the tablet in half.
- You can take the tablets with or without food.
- To treat high blood pressure: The usual dose of the tablets is 8 mg once a day and your doctor may increase this dose to 16 mg once a day and up to 32 mg once a day depending on your blood pressure response.
- To treat heart failure: The usual starting dose for the tablets is 4 mg once a day and your doctor may increase your dose by doubling the dose at intervals of at least two weeks up to 32 mg once a day.
- Doses may change in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's instructions.
side effects:
- Common:
- Feeling dizzy/spinning sensation.
- Headache.
- Respiratory infection.
- Low blood pressure. This may make you feel faint or dizzy.
- Changes in blood test results: Increased amount of potassium in your blood, especially if you already have kidney problems or heart failure.

2. Very rare:
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat.
- Decrease in red or white blood cells. You may notice fatigue, infection, or fever.

- Changes in the way the liver works, including hepatitis.
- You may notice fatigue, yellowing of the skin and the whites of your eyes, and flu-like symptoms.

Warnings and precautions:
Stop taking the tablets and seek medical help immediately if you have any of the following allergic reactions:
- Difficulties breathing, with or without swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat.
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat.
- Severe itching of the skin.
Before you take or while taking the tablets, tell your doctor:
- If you have heart, liver or kidney problems or are undergoing dialysis.
- If you have recently had a kidney transplant.
- If you are vomiting or have recently had severe vomiting or diarrhea.
- If you have an adrenal gland disease called Conn's syndrome (also called primary hyperaldosteronism).
- If you have low blood pressure.
- If you have had a stroke.
Preservation method:
- Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
- Do not refrigerate the medicine in the refrigerator.
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
