Avalon Avoban Nasal Ointment 3 g:

Mupirocin 2% nasal ointment used as a topical antibiotic to treat bacterial skin infections.

Do not use Mupirocin:

If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components of this medicine.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Inform your doctor about all your medical conditions.
• This medicine may cause skin allergies.
• Prolonged use of this medicine may lead to a yeast infection (thrush).
• Do not use around the eyes or mouth.

Possible Side Effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience:

• Rash; itching; red, sore, or peeling skin.
• Chest or throat tightness; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking.
• Unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Serious Side Effects:

• Skin allergic reactions: If you have a skin reaction, wash off the ointment and contact your doctor.
• Severe diarrhea due to antibiotic use (rare).
  

Usage Instructions:

• Use this medication as directed by your doctor.
• This medicine is for external use only.
• Apply a small amount and gently rub on your skin 2-3 times a day.
• Do not use for more than 10 days.
• You may cover the treated area with a bandage.
• For nasal ointment, apply a small amount on your finger or a cotton swab and place it inside the nostril. Press the sides of your nose together to spread the ointment.
