Fluticasone Furoate 27.5 micrograms nasal spray

Why is Fluticasone Furoate used:

Fluticasone Furoate is used to treat symptoms of nasal allergies including congestion, runny nose, itching in the nose, sneezing, tearing, and itching or redness of the eyes.

Do not take Fluticasone Furoate:

• If you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Warnings and precautions:

• Inform your doctor about all your health conditions including if you have eye problems such as glaucoma.
• Growth delay may occur in children receiving long-term treatment.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical care if you develop a rash; itching; red, sore, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency of these side effects is unknown.

Very common side effects:

• Headache
• Nosebleed if used for more than 6 weeks

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.

Fluticasone Furoate interacts with the following medicines:

• Antifungal ketoconazole
• Ritonavir and cobicistat for HIV
• Other corticosteroids
• Some medicines used for asthma

How to take Fluticasone Furoate:

• This medicine is intended for adults and children aged 6 years and above.
• Use this medicine as directed by your doctor.
• Use this medicine only in your nose.
• For adults and children 12 years and older: the recommended dose is two sprays in each nostril once daily.
• For children 6 – 12 years: the recommended dose is one spray in each nostril once daily.
