Bilaxeten 2.5 mg/ml Syrup 120 ml:

Bilaxeten contains the active ingredient Bilastine, which is an antihistamine.

Bilaxeten is used to relieve symptoms of hay fever (sneezing, itching, runny,

and blocked nose, eye redness and tearing) and other forms of allergic rhinitis.

It can also be used to treat itchy skin rashes (urticaria).

Bilaxetin 2.5 mg/ml oral solution is used in children aged 6 to 11 years who weigh at least 20 kg.

Usage Instructions:

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has prescribed.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Use in children: the recommended dose for children aged 6 to 11 years who weigh at least 20 kg is 10 mg Bilastine (4 ml of oral solution) once daily to relieve symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, and urticaria.

Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age and weighing less than 20 kg because there is not enough data available.

Use in adults:

The recommended dose for adults, including elderly and adolescents aged 12 years and older, is 20 mg Bilastine once daily.

For this patient group, a more suitable dosage form is available – tablet.

The oral solution is for oral use.

The oral solution bottle is equipped with a child-resistant cap and should be opened

as follows:

Press down on the plastic screw cap and turn it counterclockwise at the same time. The oral solution comes with a measuring cup marked at 4 ml (= 10 mg Bilastine per dose), which will help you measure the oral solution dose correctly.

Fill the cup with 4 ml of the oral solution.

Use the medicine directly from the cup.

Wash the cup after use.

You should give the oral solution to your child one hour before or two hours after your child has eaten any food or fruit juices.

Your doctor will determine how long your child should take Bilaxetin, as the treatment duration depends on your child's underlying condition.
