What is Betamethasone Dipropionate / Salicylic Acid and What Is It Used For:

This product consists of two active ingredients; betamethasone dipropionate and salicylic acid. Betamethasone dipropionate belongs to a group of medicines known as "topical corticosteroids" that work to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin.

Salicylic acid is a medicine that works by softening the upper layer of scales on the skin surface, allowing betamethasone dipropionate to reach the affected skin area beneath the scales to help heal the skin condition.

This product is used to treat adults and children who have skin problems that include a layer of scales covering the affected skin.

This product will help reduce itching and redness in your skin and remove the layer of scales.

Do Not Use Betamethasone Dipropionate / Salicylic Acid:

If you are allergic to betamethasone dipropionate, salicylic acid, or any of the ingredients in this product.

If the package is torn or shows signs of tampering.

If the expiry date stated on the medicine box has passed.

If you experience an allergic reaction or skin irritation when using this ointment.

If you have other skin problems (such as genital itching, cold sores, shingles, chickenpox, acne, diaper rash, perioral dermatitis, other skin infections, or rosacea, which is a skin condition affecting the face).

Using this medicine for other skin disorders may worsen your problem.

Warnings and Precautions:

Stop using the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop any allergy or skin reactions to any of the ingredients in this ointment such as skin itching, redness, shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure, and dizziness.

This medicine is for external topical use only. Do not swallow this product.

Avoid contact of the ointment with lips, eyes, mouth, and sensitive areas of the neck and corners of the nose to prevent irritation.

In case of accidental contact, be sure to rinse the area well with warm water and then dry it.
Make sure to inform your doctor if you have psoriasis before using this medicine.

Your doctor may recommend regular follow-up to assess your psoriasis condition.

Contact your doctor if you have psoriasis and your skin condition worsens or if pus-filled bumps appear under the skin.

Talk to your doctor immediately if you or your child experience any vision problems (such as blurred vision).

Make sure not to smoke or be near open flames to avoid the risk of severe burns.

Contact with fabric (such as bedding, clothing, and bandages) with this ointment burns more easily and poses a serious fire hazard.

Washing fabric may reduce product buildup but does not remove it completely.

Side effects that may occur with oral or inhaled corticosteroids may also occur with topical corticosteroids.

These side effects are more likely to occur in infants and children.

Do not cover the applied ointment with bandages or adhesive tapes.

blurred vision, dry skin, excessive hair growth, skin allergic reactions, folliculitis, darkening of the skin, other skin infections, and perioral dermatitis.
