Divinusmet 5/1000 mg XR 60 tablets
A combination medication used by prescription to help improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Contains an effective mix of dapagliflozin and metformin, working together with a healthy diet and exercise to achieve better glucose control.
Indications:
- Improves blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes
- Used when treatment with a single drug (dapagliflozin or metformin) is not sufficient
Not intended for:
- Type 1 diabetes patients
- Diabetic ketoacidosis cases
Usage instructions:
- Take once daily with food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet whole without breaking or chewing
- Follow the doctor's instructions and do not change the dose without consultation
- If you miss a dose: take it when you remember unless it is close to the next dose
Warnings and precautions:
- May cause dehydration (dizziness, fainting especially when standing)
- Risk of ketoacidosis even with not very high blood sugar levels
- May affect kidney function, especially with fluid loss
- Increased risk of urinary tract infections
- Risk of low blood sugar when used with other medications
- May cause vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use
- May cause genital fungal infections
Stop the medication and see a doctor immediately if symptoms such as:
- Severe nausea or vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Difficulty breathing
Possible side effects:
- Digestive system disorders: nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain
- Dizziness or dehydration (especially when standing)
- Low blood sugar (especially with other medications)
- Urinary tract infections
- Genital fungal infections
- Vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use
Rare and serious side effects:
- Diabetic ketoacidosis (severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing)
- Kidney problems
See a doctor immediately if serious symptoms appear.
