Dusta 0.5 mg 30 capsules:
Dusta is a medication containing dutasteride 0.5 mg, used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It works by inhibiting the 5-alpha reductase enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), helping to gradually reduce prostate size, improve urine flow, relieve BPH symptoms, and reduce the risk of urinary retention and the need for surgical intervention.
Uses:
- Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms in men.
- Improves urine flow and relieves difficulty urinating and frequent urination, especially at night.
- Reduces the risk of acute urinary retention.
- Reduces the likelihood of surgery related to prostate enlargement.
- May be used with other medications such as tamsulosin as recommended by the doctor.
Usage instructions:
- Take one capsule (0.5 mg) once daily or as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not open, break, or chew it.
- The medication can be taken with or without food.
- If you forget a dose, take it when you remember on the same day; if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and do not double the dose.
- Improvement may take several months, so continue treatment even if symptoms do not improve immediately.
