Mometasone furoate is used to reduce redness and itching caused by skin problems called psoriasis or dermatitis.
The ointment is intended for very dry, cracked and flaky skin. The lotion is used on the scalp.
Do not use mometasone furoate:

If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you have any other skin problems including rosacea, acne, skin atrophy, and perioral dermatitis.
On open wounds or skin ulcers.
If you suffer from a skin infection such as cold sores, chickenpox, warts, or herpes zoster.
Warnings and Precautions:

Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions.
Tell your doctor if your condition worsens.

Tell your doctor if you develop pus-filled bumps on your skin.

Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had eye problems such as cataracts or glaucoma.

This medicine may cause a delay in growth in children.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if:

I developed a rash; Itch; red, blistered, or peeling skin; chest or throat tightness; trouble breathing, swallowing, or speaking; Unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
The frequency with which these side effects occur is not known.
Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor if you experience:
Symptoms of poor adrenal gland function such as severe stomach upset, vomiting, severe dizziness, fainting, muscle weakness, feeling very tired, mood changes, not feeling hungry, or weight loss.
Symptoms of hyperadrenocorticism such as weight gain in the upper back, stomach, full face, severe headache, or slowed recovery.

This property is intended for adults and children 2 years of age and older.
Use as directed by your doctor.
This property is for external use only.
The lotion should only be used on the scalp.
You should not use a large amount on large areas of the body for a long time.
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area and massage it in gently.
How to store mometasone furoate:
Store at room temperature 68 to 77 degrees F (20 to 25 degrees C).
Throw away the opened tube with any remaining ointment after 12 weeks.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.
