Elicasal Ointment 30 gm - Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.05% / Salicylic Acid 3% Ointment:

This product consists of two active ingredients: Betamethasone Dipropionate and Salicylic Acid.

• Betamethasone Dipropionate belongs to a class of medicines known as "topical corticosteroids" that work to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin.
• Salicylic Acid is a medicine that works by softening the upper layer of scales on the skin surface, allowing Betamethasone Dipropionate to reach the affected skin area beneath the scales to help heal the skin condition.

Uses of Elicasal:

• This product is used to treat adults and children who have skin problems that include a layer of scales covering the affected skin.
• This product will help reduce itching and redness of your skin and remove the layer of scales.

Do not use Elicasal:

• If you are allergic to Betamethasone Dipropionate, Salicylic Acid, or any of the ingredients in this product.
• If the package is torn or shows signs of tampering.
• If you experience an allergic reaction or skin irritation when using this ointment.
• If you have other skin problems.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Stop using the medicine immediately and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you develop any allergy or skin reactions.
• This medicine is for external topical use only. Do not swallow this product.
• Avoid contact of the ointment with lips, eyes, mouth, and sensitive areas of the neck and corners of the nose to prevent irritation.
• In case of accidental contact, be sure to rinse the area well with warm water and then dry it.
• Contact your doctor if you have psoriasis and your skin condition worsens or if pus-filled bumps appear under the skin.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you or your child experience any vision problems (such as blurred vision).
• Make sure not to smoke or approach open flames to avoid the risk of severe burns.
• Do not cover the applied ointment with bandages or adhesive tapes.

Possible Side Effects:

• Possible side effects include allergic skin reactions (such as rash or itching).
• Redness of the skin, stinging or burning sensation, peeling, itching, thinning of the skin, red marks, swelling, and rash.
• Blurred vision, dry skin, excessive hair growth, allergic skin reactions, inflammation of hair follicles, darkening of the skin, other skin infections, and inflammation of the skin around the mouth.

Instructions for Use:

• Wash your hands before and after using the ointment.
• Be sure to replace the cap on the tube after using the ointment to prevent medicine leakage.
• Be sure to follow the instructions mentioned in this leaflet unless your doctor or pharmacist advises otherwise. Ask the pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure.
• Make sure to keep the ointment away from your eyes.
• Make sure not to apply the ointment under bandages, plasters, or under your child's diaper to prevent excessive absorption of the medicine and unwanted side effects.
• Do not apply a large amount of this ointment on large areas of the body for a long time.
• Do not use this ointment on your face for more than 5 days.
• Do not use this ointment on skin wounds, on large areas of skin, or in skin folds (such as the back of the knee).
