Nizatidine belongs to a group of medicines called antiulcer medicines, which reduce the amount of acid in your stomach.
Uses of Fixit 150 mg:
- It heals and stops ulcers in the stomach or the part where the small intestine empties.
- It treats and stops problems caused by acid in the esophagus or too much acid in the stomach. This can cause pain or discomfort known as indigestion, acid reflux, or heartburn.
- Preventing ulcers that may be caused by NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen and diclofenac – often used to treat arthritis.
- Prevent these ulcers from coming back.
Do not take Fixit 150 mg:
- If you are allergic to nizatidine or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
- If you have ever taken an anti-ulcer medicine and had an unusual or allergic reaction. An allergic reaction may include a rash, itching, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue.
How to use Fixit 150 mg:
- For stomach or duodenal ulcers: The recommended dose is 150 mg in the morning and 150 mg in the evening or 300 mg as a single dose in the evening for 4 weeks.
- To treat indigestion, acid reflux, and heartburn: The recommended dose is 150 mg to 300 mg twice a day for up to 12 weeks.
- To prevent ulcer recurrence: The recommended dose is 150 mg in the evening.
- Patients with kidney problems: Your doctor may change your dose. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may prescribe a lower or less frequent dose.
- It is important that you continue taking the medication until you have finished the full course of treatment.
- Use in children and adolescents: Nizatidine should not be given to children or adolescents.

These side effects are rare but serious. You may need medical attention:
- Any type of rash or "hives" (small itchy spots), boils or sore lips, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat or other parts of the body.
- Fever, cough and sudden wheezing.
- Tightness or pain in the chest, feeling faint, and difficulty breathing as a result of an allergic reaction.
- Yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin, dark urine, pale color of bowel movements, and itching due to liver problems.
- Bruising more easily, bleeding, especially in the mouth and nose, or bruising under the skin. In severe cases, blood in the urine or stool and headache are due to low platelets in the blood.
- Frequent infections such as fever, severe chills, sore throat, or mouth ulcers due to a lack of white blood cells.
