Flixotide 125 mcg Evohaler 120 puffs:
- Flixotide inhalation spray is an inhaled corticosteroid for asthma where the condition cannot be controlled with short-acting airway dilating agents used as needed. Flixotide combats mucus formation and swelling in the bronchi.
- This makes breathing easier and asthma symptoms decrease.
Instructions for use:
- Always use this medicine exactly as prescribed in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The dose should not be increased or decreased without consulting a doctor. The dosage is determined by the doctor who adjusts it for you.
- The dose and frequency of doses should be changed only in consultation with the doctor.
- If you think that the effect of Flixotide inhalation spray is too strong or too weak, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist about this.
Instructions for use:
- Your doctor, healthcare professional or pharmacy staff should show you how to use the inhaler. At regular intervals, they should also check how you use your inhaler.
- If you do not use Flixotide as directed or as prescribed, it may cause the medication not to work properly against your asthma.
- The medicine is in a pressure vessel that is attached to the inhaler (made of plastic) with the mouthpiece.
Warnings and precautions:
Do not use Flixotide:
- If you are allergic to fluticasone propionate or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
Do not take more Flixotide:
- If you have difficulty breathing or wheezing that gets worse immediately after taking Flixotide.
- Use fast-acting medication to improve your breathing and call your doctor immediately.
- It is important that Flixotide is taken regularly, even when asthma is not causing symptoms.
- Flixotide is a preventative treatment and should not be used to treat acute episodes of breathing difficulties. The effect of Flixotide is achieved only after a few days of treatment.
- The full effect depends on regular use for a long period of time.
- Contact a doctor if effect is not achieved.
- If you have previously used a medicine containing budesonide or beclomethasone and you are about to start treatment with flixotide (which contains fluticasone propionate), the strength of flixotide will be less because the ingredient in flixotide is more potent.
