• The FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System is intended to measure glucose levels in the interstitial fluid of diabetic patients (4 years and older). The use of the FreeStyle Libre system for children (4-17 years old) is limited to those who have supervisors who are at least 18 years old.
• The FreeStyle Libre system works to help you get rid of the pain associated with glucose monitoring. In a study conducted by Abbott Diabetes Care, 95.7% of subjects (30 subjects) reported that FreeStyle Libre reduced pain associated with glucose monitoring.
• The reader can capture data from the sensor when it is at a distance of 1 to 4 centimeters from the sensor.
• The sensor is characterized by its ability to withstand water at a depth of 1 meter (3 feet) for a maximum of 30 seconds.
